Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to the Peterson Physical Education and Health website. My name is Andy Peterson, and I am excited to work with you during the 2021-2022 school year. I will be teaching 7th and 8th Grade Physical Education and Health. I have been looking forward to the school year, and I am so excited that you get to be a part of my class.
A little bit about myself. This is my seventh year of teaching at Edgewood Middle School. I completed my degree at the University of Northwestern St. Paul, where I was able to receive my bachelors degree in physical education and health, with a minor in coaching. I am an assistant varsity and program pitching coach at Irondale, and I also help out in a variety of co-curricular activities at Edgewood Middle School. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Alex Peterson, for almost seven years. She is a 6th grade ELA teacher at Highview Middle School. Alex and I have a 18 month old son name Tucker, a 6 month old black lab named Stark, and a baby coming January 2022. We are so thankful for the Mounds View Community as it is a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
As we continue throughout the year, please check ParentVue for a list of updated assignments and grades. All of my classes will also be utilizing Google Classroom to complete assignments online. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
