Welcome

Parents, Guardians, and Students, Welcome to the Peterson Physical Education and Health website. My name is Andy Peterson, and I am excited to work with you during the school year. I will be teaching 8th Grade Physical Education and Health. I have been looking forward to the school year, and I am so excited that you get to be a part of my class. A little bit about myself. I have been teaching at Edgewood Middle School since 2015. I completed my degree at the University of Northwestern St. Paul, where I was able to receive my bachelors degree in physical education and health, with a minor in coaching. I am an assistant varsity and program pitching coach at Irondale, and I also help out in a variety of co-curricular activities at Edgewood Middle School. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Alex Peterson, since 2015. She is a 6th grade ELA teacher at Highview Middle School. Alex and I have a 2 boys, Tucker and Jack and a black lab named Stark. We are so thankful for the Mounds View Community as it is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. As we continue throughout the year, please check ParentVue for a list of updated assignments and grades. All of my classes will also be utilizing Google Classroom to complete assignments online.
